Anglesey May 2010

02/09/2010
I spent the 2nd week in May in Anglesey, a place I've never visited before. It reminds me so much of Northumberland, its now one of my favorite places. Wide open sea views on a rugged coast, deserted beaches and light houses instead of castles. Highlights of the trip were a visit to South Stack to see the sea bird colony, standing on the shingle ridge at Cemlyn Bay photographing the terns and going to Pemnon Point, a place to return to later in the year. I loved Beaumaris, quaint but with some lovely galleries and nearby a magnificent view of the Menai Straits and the bridges.
