Bempton Cliffs June 2010

02/09/2010
I decided to go to Bempton Cliffs just to see what all the fuss was about. It's a bit of a long, convoluted journey but whether you want to bird spot or take photos, well worth it. Taking photos is the harder task I think, as the birds are generally below you on the cliffs or flying along the cliffs. There are good vantage points at the more northerly end as the cliffs are more rolling and you may be able to get a good view of gannets landing at your eye level. The thing I remember most though is the sight of thousands of gannets circling in an enormous cloud out to sea.
